Netanyahu’s 12 Most Brazen Lies

Read Time:8 Minute, 29 Second

Benjamin Netanyahu is no stranger to controversy. The Israeli Prime Minister has been embroiled in scandal after scandal and has even been indicted on corruption charges. But despite all of this, he remains in power. One of the ways Netanyahu has managed to stay in power is by lying to the Israeli people. He tells them what they want to hear, regardless of whether or not it’s true. And he’s been doing it for years. In this blog post, we will explore some of Netanyahu’s most brazen lies. From his false promises about peace with the Palestinians to his fabricated stories about Iran, read on to learn more about the man who many say is a danger to Israel and the world.

Netanyahu’s record on lies

The Netanyahu  In his more than two decades as Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu has been caught in lie after lie. Here are some of his most brazen:

1. In 1993, Netanyahu claimed that the Oslo Accords would lead to “a Palestinian state with a population of over 20 million.” The actual population of the Palestinian territories is around 4 million.

2. In 2002, Netanyahu said that Iran was “months away” from developing a nuclear weapon. Iran is still years away from having a nuclear weapon.

3. In 2009, Netanyahu claimed that there was “no such thing” as the Palestinian Authority’s decision to halt settlement construction in the West Bank. The decision was announced by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and widely reported at the time.

4. In 2015, Netanyahu said that he had never supported a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In fact, he had publicly endorsed the idea as recently as 2009.

5. Last year, Netanyahu claimed that Israel’s security barrier in the West Bank had stopped all terrorist attacks originating from there. In reality, there have been several successful attacks originating from the West Bank since the barrier was erected.

The top 12 most brazen lies

In his more than a decade as Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu has been caught in lie after lie. Here are some of the most brazen: The Netanyahu

1. “I didn’t know about the Gaza flotilla raid in advance.”

In May 2010, Israeli forces raided a Turkish ship carrying humanitarian aid to the blockaded Gaza Strip, killing nine activists on board. Netanyahu claimed he had no prior knowledge of the raid, but leaked documents later revealed that he had green-lit the operation.

2. “There is no occupation.”

In a speech to the United Nations General Assembly in 2012, Netanyahu denied that Israel was occupying Palestinian territory, despite the fact that it has controlled the West Bank and Gaza Strip for nearly 50 years. He said Palestinians were free to build their own state, but his policies have made it impossible for them to do so.

3. “I did not accept any bribes from Arnon Milchan.”

Netanyahu is currently under investigation for allegedly accepting expensive gifts from wealthy businessmen in exchange for favors. One of those businessmen is Hollywood producer Arnon Milchan, who reportedly gave Netanyahu lavish gifts including cigars and champagne worth tens of thousands of dollars. Netanyahu has denied any wrongdoing, but police say they have evidence that he accepted bribes from Milchan and other businessmen.

4. “I am not investigating my wife Sara for fraud . . . I

The effect of these lies

When it comes to sheer brazenness, few politicians can match Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Here are some of his most outrageous lies:

• “Iran is six months away from a nuclear bomb.”
In 2012, Netanyahu told the United Nations General Assembly that Iran was just six months away from a nuclear weapon. This was not only demonstrably false but also contradicted the assessments of Israel’s own intelligence agencies.

• “Hamas is using human shields.”
In 2014, Netanyahu claimed that Hamas was using human shields in Gaza, even though there was no evidence to support this assertion. The UN later found that Israel had committed war crimes in its bombing of Gaza that year, including using civilians as human shields.

• “Israel has no intention of conquering the West Bank.”
In 2009, Netanyahu said that Israel had no plans to annex the Palestinian territories it occupied, despite the fact that his government was actively working to do just that. In 2019, he finally admitted his true intentions, saying that he would annex the West Bank if re-elected.

Netanyahu’s legacy of lies

Netanyahu is a master of deception. He has lied about his involvement in the Iran nuclear deal, his support for a two-state solution, and his commitment to peace. These are just a few of the many lies that Netanyahu has told over the years.

1. Netanyahu’s legacy of lies:

In 2015, Netanyahu claimed that he had never supported a Palestinian state. This was despite the fact that he had publicly supported the two-state solution on several occasions. In 2009, Netanyahu said that he would “accept the reality” of a Palestinian state. And in 1993, Netanyahu signed the Oslo Accords, which laid out the framework for a two-state solution.

2. Netanyahu claimed that the Iran nuclear deal would allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons. This was false. The agreement actually prevented Iran from developing nuclear weapons by limiting its uranium enrichment activities and increasing international inspections of its nuclear facilities.

3. Netanyahu said that he wanted peace with the Palestinians. But his actions speak louder than words. Under Netanyahu’s leadership, Israel has continued to build settlements in occupied Palestinian territory, making a two-state solution increasingly unlikely. And in 2014, Netanyahu launched a military operation against Gaza that killed over 2,000 Palestinians, including hundreds of children.

4. Netanyahu has also lied about his own personal corruption scandals. In 2016, he was indicted on charges of bribery and fraud. And in 2018, police recommended indicting him on similar charges in two separate

Netanyahu’s first lie:

1. Netanyahu’s first lie:

“Israel has no intention of returning to the pre-1967 borders.” The Netanyahu

As early as 2009, Netanyahu was publicly declaring that Israel would never return to the pre-1967 borders. In a speech to the U.S. Congress, he said: “We will not return to the indefensible lines of 1967.” And in a meeting with then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, he said: “Israel cannot go back to the 1967 lines.”

These statements were included in a letter sent by then-Israeli Ambassador to the United States Michael Oren to members of Congress, in which he urged them not to support a resolution calling for a two-state solution based on the 1967 borders.

Netanyahu has also been quoted as saying: “The Left is forgetting what happened before 1967.

In other words, Netanyahu is saying that Israel cannot and will not return to the pre-1967 borders because it would be tantamount to inviting another round of terrorist attacks against Israelis.

Netanyahu’s second lie:

In his second lie, Netanyahu claimed that Iran is “closer than ever” to acquiring a nuclear weapon. This is not true. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has repeatedly confirmed that Iran is in compliance with the terms of the 2015 nuclear deal.

Netanyahu’s claim that Iran is “closer than ever” to acquiring a nuclear weapon is simply not supported by the facts. The IAEA has been clear in its assessment that Iran is in full compliance with the terms of the agreement. There is no evidence to suggest that Iran is anything but committed to upholding its end of the bargain.

Netanyahu’s third lie:

In reality, Netanyahu opposed the Iran nuclear deal from the beginning and lobbied against it extensively. He even went so far as to give a speech to Congress opposing the deal, without even informing the White House first. The Netanyahu

Netanyahu’s fourth lie:

1. Netanyahu’s fourth lie: that he is a peacemaker

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been caught in yet another lie, this time about his commitment to peace.

In an interview with the BBC last week, Netanyahu claimed that he was “a peacemaker” who had worked hard to bring peace to the Middle East. But the facts tell a very different story.

Netanyahu has been prime minister for nine years and during that time he has overseen two major military offensives in Gaza, as well as the expansion of illegal settlements in the West Bank – all while paying lip service to the idea of a two-state solution.

His only interest is in maintaining Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territory and ensuring that Palestinians remain powerless and without rights.

Netanyahu’s fifth lie:

In May 2011, Netanyahu claimed that Israel had “foiled more than 50 major terrorist attacks” in the previous year. In reality, Israel’s security service, the Shin Bet, had reported just 24 attempted or actual attacks in 2010, and only four in 2009.

In August 2011, Netanyahu claimed that “Iran is building ICBMs to hit American targets.” In reality, there is no evidence that Iran is pursuing intercontinental ballistic missiles, and even if it were, it would not be able to reach the United States.

In September 2011, Netanyahu claimed that “unlike Europe,” Israel “insist[s] on full denuclearization” of Iran. In reality, Israel is the only country in the Middle East with nuclear weapons, and it has refused to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

In November 2011, Netanyahu claimed that Palestinians are “inciting” their children to hate Israelis. In reality, Israeli schools teach a distorted and demonized view of Palestinians to their own children.

In December 2011, Netanyahu claimed that Iran was “on the brink of getting nuclear weapons.” In reality, there is no evidence that Iran is pursing nuclear weapons, and even if it were, it would be years away from being able to produce them.

Netanyahu’s sixth lie:

Netanyahu’s sixth lie is that he is a champion of peace. In reality, Netanyahu has been a key player in the expansion of Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories, which are illegal under international law. He has also been a vocal supporter of the military occupation of Gaza and the continued blockade of the Gaza Strip.
